Job Description

As a Software Engineer at Ford, you will:

Collaborate with the Product team to define the scope and scale of the product.
Design system architecture and implement scalable APIs and microservices.
Write both low-level and high-level code.
Troubleshoot and debug issues while identifying and improving software efficiency.
Work with the design team to develop microservices.
Write comprehensive technical documentation.

Required Skills

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
Proficiency in Backend Technologies including:
- JavaScript environments such as NodeJS and ExpressJS.
- Back-end languages such as Java (including frameworks like Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Java Server Faces).
- Python frameworks such as Django and Flask for back-end development.
Experience with the DevOps lifecycle, including deployment on Google native services like Cloud Run and GKE.
Familiarity with DevSecOps and designing CI/CD pipelines.
Experience in IaC, Terraform, and Docker containerization.
Knowledge of GitHub, Tekton, and Software Quality Tools such as SonarQube, CheckMarx, Fossa, 42C, and CYCODE.
Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD), including code coverage.
Strong working experience in public cloud, containerization, and virtualization.
Proficiency in monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Splunk, Prometheus, and Grafana.
Experience with database systems and SQL, including relational mapping with databases like MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
Ability to deploy applications on cloud services, with exposure to GCP.

Nice to Have

Functional experience with Payment and Billing platforms.
Knowledge of Third-Party Payment Integrations or PSP experience.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
