Job Description

As an Associate Analyst at Alvara, your main responsibilities will include managing sales and use tax returns, working on tax registrations, and adhering to the compliance requirements of various government authorities. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in MS Office.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file Sales & Use tax returns and payments to meet deadlines.
• Understand and apply state tax rules and regulations.
• Maintain high accuracy standards to avoid penalties and interest.
• Meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for accurate and timely registration.
• Communicate status and challenges to the manager.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and support overall production goals.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Plan and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual filings.
• Serve as the primary contact for external customer communication.
• Assist internal teams with technical queries.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and government requirements.

Candidate Profile

• Strong attention to detail with precision.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.
• MBA in Finance is preferred.
• Knowledge of Sales Tax (VAT & Use Tax) is a plus.
• Experience with tracking tools like Salesforce and Atlassian Jira is preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal and external contacts.
